Install KOpilot™ in
three minutes.

Five steps. Real-world Printavo PO in the browser by the end. If you get stuck anywhere on this page, the answer is probably below the step.

Before you start

Chrome (or any Chromium-based browser — Brave, Arc, Edge all work).
A Printavo account you actively use.
An email — that's how we issue your license.
About 3 minutes.

Step 01

Install the extension

KOpilot™ ships as a standard Chrome extension. Two ways to install:

Chrome Web Store (easy — recommended once we're live there). Open the listing → click Add to Chrome. Done.

Manual / unpacked (for beta testers right now, before CWS approval lands):

Download the latest kopilot.zip from your Kontraktr account portal.
Unzip it somewhere stable — say, ~/kopilot/.
Open chrome://extensions.
Toggle Developer mode on (top-right).
Click Load unpacked → select the unzipped folder.
Pin the KOpilot™ icon to your toolbar so it's one click away.

KOpilot™ is a standalone Chrome extension. You do not need any other AI extension, account, or API key installed. KOpilot™ talks to our servers — our servers handle the AI.

Step 02

Get your API key

Each KOpilot™ install needs a license key. The extension is free to install, but the parser is gated — no key, no parses. (This is how we keep the unit economics working without showing you ads.)

Visit kontraktr.io/kopilot/signup, drop your email, copy the API key. The key is shown once — save it to your password manager. We only store the hash, so we can't recover it for you.

Click the KOpilot™ icon in your Chrome toolbar → ⚙ Settings → paste the key into the API key field → Save. The panel will refresh and show "X of 5 free POs remaining."

Already a Kontraktr subscriber on a paid plan? You'll get an unlimited KOpilot™ license automatically — same key works in the extension; just paste it.

Step 03

Open a Printavo new-quote tab

KOpilot™ only activates on Printavo. It looks for printavo.com/new-style URLs and lights up the side panel.

Log in to Printavo. Click + New Quote (or open an empty draft order). The KOpilot™ side panel pops in from the right edge of the browser. If it doesn't, click the KOpilot™ icon in your toolbar and pick "Open side panel."

If you're using a Printavo enterprise / self-hosted instance with a non-standard domain, the extension won't activate yet — drop us a note at support@kontraktr.io and we'll add your domain to the host list.

Step 04

Drop the PO

Drag the customer's PO file onto the side panel's drop zone. Or click Choose file and pick it from your downloads.

KOpilot™ reads PDF, XLSX (Excel), and image formats (PNG / JPEG / WebP / GIF screenshots). Most POs are PDFs. Some customers send Excel; some forward email screenshots. All of them work.

The panel shows a streaming "parsing…" indicator. Typical parse time is 4–8 seconds. When it's done, you'll see a structured preview: PO number, due date, customer, every line item with style / color / sizes / qty / unit cost.

Big PO with 50+ line items? It still parses in one pass — our AI sees the full document so multi-page line-item tables don't get truncated.

Step 05

Review, correct, approve

Glance at the preview. Anything wrong, click the field and fix it — your correction is saved and used as a few-shot example the next time you parse a PO from this same vendor (so they stop being wrong).

Hit Approve & fill. KOpilot™ switches to "filling…" mode, jumps to your Printavo tab, and types the data in. Fields with low confidence get a colored outline so you know where to eyeball.

Hit save in Printavo. Done. The order is in Printavo just like you typed it — except you didn't.

Mockups still upload manually. KOpilot™ doesn't auto-attach customer artwork — that's the one thing too risky to automate. (Wrong logo on the wrong order ruins someone's day.) Drag the mockup file into Printavo yourself after the form's filled.

Things that go wrong (and the fix)

Quick troubleshooting.

I pasted the key but the panel still says 'Sign in'.: Hit the Refresh button at the top of the panel, or close and reopen the side panel. The extension caches the entitlement check for a few seconds; a forced re-check will pick up the new key.
Parse failed with '402 Free trial exhausted'.: You've hit the 5-PO trial cap. Click Upgrade in the panel to start the $25/mo plan, which gets you 250 POs/month.
The form filled, but two fields are empty / outlined.: That's by design — KOpilot™ won't guess fields it isn't confident about. Outlined fields need a quick manual fill. Once you correct them, the next PO from this vendor will get them right.
Does KOpilot™ upload my mockup / artwork?: No. Auto-attaching artwork is the one thing too risky to automate. Drag the mockup in yourself after the form is filled.
What does KOpilot™ send to your servers?: The PO file (PDF/XLSX/PNG) and your license key. The structured JSON comes back; the original file is not retained. We log token counts (for billing) and a vendor fingerprint hash (for the few-shot learning loop). That's it.
Can my whole shop share one license?: Each Chrome install needs its own key, and parses count toward whoever owns the key. For multi-seat use, contact us — we'll set you up with team licensing instead of buying multiple individual keys.
