Understanding KreatorHub™ Fees
How the buyer fee, seller fee, and escrow system work on KreatorHub™.
Fee structure overview
KreatorHub™ uses a two-sided fee model. Buyers pay a 5% service fee on top of the gig price. Sellers pay a 12% commission that is deducted from their earnings. The total platform take is 17% of each transaction. All fees are calculated and displayed before you confirm an order or accept a gig.
Buyer fee example
If a gig is priced at $100, the buyer pays $105 at checkout ($100 gig price + $5 buyer fee). The fee covers platform services including escrow protection, dispute resolution, and secure messaging.
Seller fee example
From the $100 gig price, the seller receives $88 after the 12% commission ($12) is deducted. Stripe processing fees are separate and handled by Stripe Connect. Sellers see their net earnings on every order in their Artist Dashboard.
Escrow protection
All payments are held in escrow via Stripe Connect with manual capture. When a buyer places an order, the full amount (including buyer fee) is authorized on their card but not captured until the buyer approves the deliverable. If a dispute is opened, funds remain in escrow until an admin resolves it.
Escrow protects both sides: buyers know they will not be charged until they receive acceptable work, and sellers know the funds are guaranteed once the buyer approves.
Payouts
After a buyer approves a deliverable, the seller's earnings (gig price minus 12% commission) are transferred to their Stripe Connect account. Payout timing depends on Stripe's standard schedule — typically 2-7 business days for new accounts, faster for established accounts.
