The Job Pipeline Explained
What is the job pipeline?
Every job in Kontrol™ moves through a series of stages called statuses. Think of it like an assembly line — each stage tells you and your team exactly where a job is right now.
Default stages
Quote → Quoted → Received → Approved → Production → Ready → Shipped → Invoiced → Paid. You can customize these stages or add your own in Settings → Status Config.
Quote
The job has been entered but no price has been sent to the customer yet. You're still building the estimate.
Quoted
A quote or invoice has been sent to the customer. You're waiting for their approval to proceed.
Received / Approved
The customer has agreed to the quote. Artwork and payment may still be pending, but the job is confirmed.
Production
The order is on the shop floor. Garments are being printed, embroidered, or finished.
Ready → Shipped
The job is complete and either waiting for pickup (Ready) or has been shipped to the customer (Shipped). Tracking numbers can be attached.
Invoiced → Paid
The invoice has been sent (Invoiced) and the customer has paid in full (Paid). The job is closed.
Moving a job to the next stage
Open the job and click the status badge at the top. A dropdown shows all available next stages. Select the new stage and the job moves — and if automations are set up, your customer gets a notification automatically.
Customizing your pipeline
Not every shop uses the same stages. Go to Settings → Status Config to rename stages, add new ones, change their colors, or reorder them to match your workflow.
