What is LoKator™?
LoKator™ is Kontrol™'s public shop finder — a searchable directory of screen printing, DTF, and embroidery shops. Potential customers can search by location, services offered, or shop name to find a printer near them. Think of it as a Yellow Pages for screen printers. LoKator™ offers three listing tiers: a free listing included with every Kontrol™ subscription, a Basic Listing at $9.99/mo for non-Kontrol™ shops, and a Featured Listing at $24.99/mo with priority search placement and a "Featured" badge.
How to list your shop
- 1Go to Settings → General → Shop Profile
- 2Make sure your shop name, address, phone, and email are filled in
- 3Toggle "List in LoKator™" to on
- 4Optionally add a logo, cover photo, and short description of your services
- 5Click Save — your listing goes live within a few minutes
Shops with a logo, cover photo, and description get significantly more inquiries than bare-bones listings. Upgrade to Featured for priority placement in search results.
What customers see
Your LoKator™ listing shows your shop name, city/state, services (screen printing, embroidery, Direct to Garment, Direct to Film, signage, banners, digital printing, promotional products, trade show displays, etc.), a short description, and a "Contact" button. Customers can click through to your public profile or send you an inquiry directly. Featured listings display a "Featured" badge and appear at the top of search results.
Managing your listing
To update your listing, edit your shop profile in Settings → General. Changes are reflected in LoKator™ immediately. To remove your listing, toggle "List in LoKator™" back to off. To upgrade your listing tier, visit Settings → Billing → LoKator™ Subscription.
How customers find shops
Customers visit LoKator™ at kontraktr.io/find-a-printer. They can search by city, state, or zip code and filter by services offered. Results are sorted by relevance — Featured listings appear first, followed by distance-sorted results.
