What is a press proof?
A press proof is a physical test print — usually 1–3 shirts — that you photograph and send to the customer for approval before printing the full run. This catches color, placement, and quality issues before they become expensive mistakes.
How to send a press proof
- 1Print a test sample on the actual garment.
- 2Open the job in Kontrol™ and go to the Press Proof tab.
- 3Photograph the sample and upload the image.
- 4Click "Send for Approval" — the customer receives an email with a link to review.
- 5The customer approves or requests changes directly from the link.
What happens after approval
When the customer approves the press proof, the job advances to full production automatically. If they request changes, the feedback is posted to the job thread and the job stays in its current status until you re-submit.
