What Are Pipeline Templates?
Pipeline templates are pre-configured status workflows optimized for specific types of decorated apparel businesses. Instead of building a job pipeline from scratch, select your shop type and get a production-ready workflow with the right stages in the right order.
Available Templates
Kontrol™ ships with 11 industry templates: 1. **Screen Printing** — Quote → Art Approval → Films → Screens → Production → Bagging → Complete 2. **Embroidery** — Quote → Art Approval → Digitizing → Hooping → Running → QC/Trim → Complete 3. **DTF / Direct to Film** — Quote → Art Approval → RIP → Print Film → Powder/Cure → Heat Press → Complete 4. **Sublimation** — Quote → Art Approval → Color Profile → Print Transfer → Substrate Prep → Heat Press → Complete 5. **Vinyl / HTV** — Quote → Art Approval → Cutting → Weeding → Layering → Heat Press → Complete 6. **Vehicle Wraps** — Quote → Design Proof → Printing → Laminating → Vehicle Prep → Installation → Complete 7. **Signs & Banners** — Quote → Design Proof → Printing → Finishing → Mounting → Complete 8. **Promotional Products** — Quote → Art Approval → Sourcing → Decorating → Kitting → Complete 9. **Digital Printing** — Quote → Art Approval → Pretreat → RIP → Printing → Curing → Complete 10. **Laser Engraving** — Quote → Design Sent → File Prep → Material Prep → Engraving → Finishing → Complete 11. **Sales Pipeline** — Lead → Contacted → Proposal → Negotiation → Closed Won/Lost
Selecting a Template
- 1Go to Settings → Status Pipeline.
- 2Click Choose Template at the top of the page.
- 3Browse the 11 available templates and click Preview to see stages.
- 4Click Apply Template to replace your current pipeline. (Your existing jobs keep their status.)
Applying a template replaces your current pipeline configuration. Existing jobs retain their status, but removed statuses may need manual remapping.
Nav Presets
Each pipeline template comes with a matching sidebar navigation preset that shows only the tools relevant to your shop type. Screen printers see Screens, Films, and Ink Inventory. Embroidery shops see Digitizing and Thread Inventory. Laser shops see Laser Materials. You can multi-select industries if you do multiple types of work.
Customizing After Selection
Templates are a starting point. After applying one, you can rename any status, reorder stages, add custom statuses, or remove stages you don't use. Changes are saved automatically.
Most shops apply a template and then add 1-2 custom statuses specific to their workflow. The template handles 90% of the setup.
