Connecting Outlook / Microsoft 365 Email
Connect your Outlook or Microsoft 365 mailbox to use the Smart Inbox with your Microsoft email.
Why connect Outlook?
If your shop uses Outlook or Microsoft 365 for email, you can connect it to Kontrol™'s Smart Inbox just like Gmail. Incoming purchase orders are automatically parsed by AI and turned into draft jobs.
How to connect
- 1Go to Settings → Integrations → Email Provider
- 2Select "Microsoft 365 / Outlook" from the provider dropdown
- 3Click "Connect" — you will be redirected to Microsoft's sign-in page
- 4Log in with your Microsoft account and grant the requested permissions
- 5Once redirected back to Kontrol™, your Outlook inbox is connected
Use a shared mailbox (like orders@yourshop.com) if multiple people need to see incoming POs. You can connect a shared mailbox the same way.
What permissions does Kontrol™ need?
Kontrol™ requests read-only access to your inbox. It cannot send emails from your account, delete messages, or access other Microsoft services like OneDrive or Teams.
Switching from Gmail to Outlook
You can only have one email provider connected at a time. To switch, go to Settings → Integrations → Email Provider, disconnect your current provider, then connect the new one. Your previously parsed jobs are not affected.
