KloudSeps™ Separation Queue
How the separation queue works — auto-populated from Kleanr™, grouped by job, with Separate All and multi-sep session support.
What is the separation queue?
The separation queue is a holding area in KloudSeps™ where artwork files wait to be color-separated. Files can be added manually or they auto-populate from the Kleanr™ pipeline when you use "Send to Job" — color data and settings carry over so you do not have to re-configure anything.
Job-grouped files
Files in the queue are grouped by their Kontrol™™ job. This makes it easy to see all the artwork for a single order in one place. Each job group shows the job number, customer name, and the number of files waiting for separation.
Separate All workflow
Instead of opening each file individually, click "Separate All" on a job group to process every file in the group. KloudSeps™ runs through each file sequentially, applying the appropriate separation settings based on the art type and color data inherited from Kleanr™.
- 1Open the KloudSeps™ separation queue.
- 2Find the job group you want to process.
- 3Click "Separate All" on the job group header.
- 4KloudSeps™ processes each file in order, showing progress for the current file.
- 5Review results for each file when processing completes.
Multi-sep sessions
A multi-sep session lets you separate all art files in a job sequentially without leaving the editor. When one file finishes, the next file in the queue loads automatically. This is faster than opening, processing, and closing each file individually.
Multi-sep sessions are ideal for jobs with 3 or more art files — like a multi-location print job where each location has different artwork but all need the same separation treatment.
Attach to Job
After separating files in the queue, use the "Attach to Job" button to link the finished separation files (channels, film exports, proofs) directly back to the Kontrol™™ job. This keeps everything in one place for your production team.
