Driver Mode — Mobile Delivery Guide
How to use Driver Mode on your phone to navigate routes, mark deliveries complete, capture signatures, and take proof-of-delivery photos.
Entering Driver Mode
- 1Open Kontrol™ on your phone's browser (it is mobile-optimized)
- 2Go to the route assigned to you, or tap the notification link from the SMS you received
- 3Tap "Start Driving" to enter Driver Mode — the view switches to a simplified mobile layout
Bookmark the Driver Mode page on your phone's home screen for one-tap access.
Navigating to stops
Each stop shows the customer name, address, package count, and any special instructions. Tap "Navigate" to open turn-by-turn directions in Apple Maps or Google Maps (your phone's default). GPS tracking shares your location with the office in real time.
Marking deliveries complete
- 1Arrive at the stop and tap "Arrived"
- 2Hand off the packages and verify the box count
- 3Capture a proof-of-delivery photo (front door, loading dock, etc.)
- 4Have the recipient sign on the digital signature pad
- 5Tap "Complete" — the customer gets an automatic notification with the photo and signature
Handling failed deliveries
If nobody is available to receive the delivery, tap "Failed" and select a reason (not home, business closed, refused, etc.). The stop is automatically queued for retry. You can also leave a note for the office.
GPS tracking and office visibility
While in Driver Mode, your location is shared with the Fleet Tracker dashboard in real time. The office can see exactly where you are on the map and which stop you are heading to next. Location sharing stops when you exit Driver Mode.
