Marketplace payments, escrow, and buyer protection
How the single Kontraktr wallet, protected checkout, the Kontraktr Certificate, and disputes and refunds keep both buyers and sellers covered across all three marketplaces.
One wallet for every market
All three marketplaces share a single Kontraktr wallet. Your balance, payment methods, and payouts stay in one place whether you're licensing an asset on AssetLab™, commissioning art on KreatorHub™, or hiring a shop on LoKator™. You top up or pay once, and spend across the whole marketplace.
Protected checkout
Marketplace work that should be protected — commissioned jobs on KreatorHub™ and hired jobs on LoKator™ — is held safely after you pay and only released to the seller once the work is delivered and you approve it. That means a buyer's money is never at risk on undelivered work, and a seller is guaranteed payment for work they complete on brief.
Approve the work as soon as it meets the brief — that's what releases payment to the seller and closes out the job.
The Kontraktr Certificate
A Kontraktr Certificate records the provenance and authenticity of marketplace work — where an asset came from, who created it, and the chain that proves it. It's especially meaningful for work generated through DNA Studio™, where there's a real human creator at the root, so buyers can trust that what they're licensing is original and accounted for.
Disputes and refunds
If something isn't right — work doesn't match the brief, or it isn't delivered — you can open a dispute before approving and releasing payment. Because protected funds are held until you approve, disputes are resolved while the money is still safe, and eligible cases can be refunded. The goal is simple: both sides are covered, every time.
