How to Estimate Shipping Costs

How it works

When you're ready to ship a job, the freight estimator shows rates from available carriers based on the package weight, dimensions, and delivery zip code. Zone-based pricing means you see what the actual cost will be before you print a label.

Using the estimator

1. 1Open a completed job and go to the Shipping tab.
2. 2Enter the package weight and dimensions (or use saved presets).
3. 3The estimator returns rates from available carriers sorted by price.
4. 4Select a carrier and generate the shipping label.

Adding shipping to invoices

The estimated or actual shipping cost can be added as a line item on the job's invoice so the customer sees the charge. If you're using flat-rate shipping, you can set a default in Settings → Shipping.
