Start here: what belongs in Sublimation

This board is for dye sublimation — turning a printed transfer into permanent, no-hand-feel color on polyester and poly-coated blanks. Color profiling, substrates, press settings, ghosting: bring it here.

The fundamentals worth locking in:

• Sublimation only works on polyester (or a poly coating). Cotton won't hold it. The higher the poly content, the brighter and more permanent the result.
• Your colors will look wrong on screen — that's normal. Sublimation ink shifts when it gases into the fabric. A proper ICC profile for your printer + paper + substrate is the difference between "close enough" and "spot on."
• Ghosting is a movement problem. If the transfer shifts even slightly when you lift the press, you get a shadow. Tape it down and lift clean.
• Time, temp, and pressure are a set. Change one and you're re-testing. Write down the combo that works for each substrate.

How to ask a good question: name the blank (and its poly %), your printer/paper, and your press time/temp/pressure. Post a photo of the result next to what you expected — color shift and ghosting are things we need to see. The composer lets you attach it on the thread.
